[03/28/2002] Steeda Takes 3rd at the Track

By: -

Last Sunday at the Double SAARC race at Moroso Motorsports Park, the Steeda No. 20 car raced against a heavy concentration of Z06 Corvettes for an hour long race. The Steeda car started out in 4th on the starting grid, out-qualifying several other SPO, T1, and GT1 cars, including several Corvette Z06 and at least one Formula Firebird. Right after the start, the Steeda No. 20 car took a quick jump to third place, and was able to hold that position while being followed by nine other GT1 and SPO Corvettes and Camaros. At the end of the race, the No. 20 car finished third in its class, ahead of the Corvettes.

Dario Orlando, Steeda President and No. 20 car driver, said "It was a great race. We should be proud that a production-based Steeda Mustang gave the GM family a run for their money. We kept them at bay during the entire race."
