Cordova, IL -- The PRO Edelbrock Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals at historic Cordova Dragway Park on the banks of the Mississippi River will certainly define who has the fastest street car in the nation on the July 27-28 weekend! On Saturday night, under the lights, the ground pounding 6-second Pro Mods of the United Drag Racers Association will begin qualifying for an 8-car field to go beyond streetable and establish the quickest and fastest all-out Pro Mod racing doorslammer in Sunday''s eliminations.

One of the favorites to dominate the show is defeding UDRA Pro Mod champion Tom Sherburne of Richland, MI, in his "Killer Instinct" Dodge Avennger with multi-stage nitrous Gene fulton power. Shourburne will certainly face a strong challenge from ''97 Pro Mod Champ Bill Graziano of Oak Forest, IL, in his ''96 Chevy Nova with 706 cubic inches of nitrous huffing Big Block nasty power tuned by his father, veteran Joe Graziano.

At the last UDRA Pro Mod event, Pat Moore took Ed Steffe''s beautiful 1957 Chevy with a 706ci nitrous motor to the winner circle. Rob Immans, with veteran Camp Stanley twisting the wrenches, took his Maryland-based supercharged Camaro to the edge of victory. Both of these insane machines will be shooting for 6-second e.t.s, at over 210 mph!

Come to Cordova both Saturday and Sunday for the PRO-Edelbrock Hot Rod & Muscle Car Event, and see some awesome action! If you want to see some big power underhood an incredible Pro Mod, check out the "Mike''s Hard Lemonade" 1968 Camaro of Rick Fogle!
