[01/02/2003] Toyo Tires is the first Japanese company to produce a true drag racing slick

Toyo Proxes Drag SlickToyo Tires has produced this product in the spirit of competition to support both spectator and racer alike in the sport of drag racing. Toyo will feature preliminary size of a 33 X 16 - 15. The tire is of bias-ply construction and tubeless. The 33 x 16 - 15 is designed for use on Pro Import chassis in the NHRA, NIRA, IDRC, and for domestic use in the NMRA Pro 5.0, as well as Pro Stock type vehicles in the NHRA. This size will be featured on Abel Ibarra''s Mazda Rx-7, Craig Paisley''s Toyota V8 Tacoma and Supra, plus many other top names on the circuit.

The 25 x 4.5 - 15 size has been created in a "Free Rolling" design for installation on popular front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive race cars including Honda, Acura, Nissan, Toyota, Ford and GM.
