Stand Tall: A how-to on tall valve covers
As we make our Mustangs go faster we make changes to the valvetrain that at some point necessitate taller than stock valve covers to fit. Some like the "racy" look of taller valve covers but to the hard core enthusiast they serve a bigger purpose. The most common reason to use tall valve covers is to be able to fit aftermarket roller rockers and valvetrain stabilizers more commonly known as stud girdles. However, before you decide to simply bolt on a set of those polished, tall, Motorsport val...

[03/30/2001] Temporary chat server online, and we appoint a new chat room moderator.

By: -

We have two pieces of good news. First, we now have a temporary chat server to operate on until our new line installation order is completed and our second server goes back online. In fact, when the installation of our new connection is done, we will be completely changing hosting solutions. We are now building a new screaming Web server for the sites. When it, and the current server that has been running as our Win2K secondary server (which will now become a dedicated database server), is online we''ll in fact be dumping our current main server altogether. At that time we''ll be running everything in house. This will take between 25 and 45 days to happen. Until then, we now have most everything operating on our current main Unix server.

For those who do not use the site''s Chat Room Applet, you can connect directly with any IRC program (such as MIRC) to the temporary chat room now located at: 204.251.188.86, port 6667

The second piece of good news is that we now have a new chat room moderator! He''ll be working to both hold chat sessions and grow the chat room use. His name is Zachary Shives, AKA: MusMondo, in the chat room and on the message board. He is actually the one who has saved the day by throwing up an IRCd backend server on his broad band connection for us to utilize until we have the new back bone connection and servers sorted out. So everyone thank him when you jump into the chat room!

We''ll keep everyone updated, but for now it looks like we''ll live through the connection outage to the second server here at our local office. And, btw, for those of you who have been asking when the free Email service will be launched, it will go up with the new servers in about one to two months. Sorry for the long delay in getting it going.
