The shifter on the new TKO 500 and TKO 600 transmission has strong springs and a short throw, but the short lever can be hard to reach and requires more effort to engage the gears. Steeda billet shifter bushings adapt the taller factory Ford shift handle to the TKO 500 / TKO 600 transmission, for better driving comfort and easier, smoother shifts. The solid billet bushings eliminate the soft rubber isolator in the factory handle, making the shifts crisp and precise. Also allows the use of the stock lever with Hurst shifters.
