Angela Cole's 2003 Mustang GT
Say hello to Angela Cole, also known as Female Power regular BAD_98_GT_CONV, who is now, RedHott_03MustangGT. Please try to keep up and don't shoot the Editor for the confusion!  It's all Angela's fault! The woman changes cars as often as most of us change shoes or hairstyles! Over the years she's owned a laundry list of awesome 'stangs including a 1985 Hatchback, 1994 Convertible LX, and of course a 1998 GT 'vert, which was traded in for her current 2003 Mustang GT.  You are p...

[02/27/2007] Firestone Industrial Products unveils "Red Label" high pressure air spring

By: -

Click to view Long known for its easy-to-install air helper springs for cars, light trucks, sport utility vehicles, vans, minivans and motor homes - has developed an innovative, new product for custom car builders. The company''s Red Label(tm) high pressure series air spring is designed to appeal to the Gen X/Gen Y demographic.

"This new air spring is for the truly trendsetting vehicle builders who tend to get really creative with their suspension set-up," said Paul Gibson, product manager, Firestone Industrial Products, Ride-Rite(tm) division. "It is a stand-alone air spring that allows the vehicle builder to fabricate their own mounting system."

Stronger, more durable components achieve Firestone''s goal to make a product that exceeds expectations.

"Easily identified by their bright red label, our new high pressure series carries a much greater load than any other part like it. In fact, our engineers have developed a proprietary reinforcing cord material that will operate at up to 150 psi with a test pressure of 400 psi," said Gibson. "It''s available with 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" single and dual ports. Accessories such as compressors, controls and air tanks are optional so the builder can customize the system to best suit the vehicle''s needs."

The new offering includes Firestone''s two-year limited warranty (see dealer for details). Trained technicians are available toll-free (800.888.0650) to answer any product application, installation or warranty questions Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.

The new Red Label air spring joins the products of Firestone''s Complete Suspension Solutions, which also offers Ride-Rite, Sport-Rite(tm), Coil-Rite(tm) and Level-Rite(tm) air helper springs. Firestone began building vehicular air springs in 1934 and its products have become synonymous with quality, durability and outstanding customer support. With headquarters in Indianapolis and six manufacturing plants on four continents, the company produces suspension products enhancing the driving experience for drivers of passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, light trucks, minivans, vans, and motor homes. The company''s products are ISO quality certified and Firestone Industrial Products supplies its air springs to many original equipment manufacturers.
