[04/20/2001] Vortech Engineering and Paxton Automotive Join Forces

By: -

The two biggest names in centrifugal supercharging have made an agreement to consolidate efforts and work together as partners. This historical event will mark a new chapter in the aftermarket industry that is typically serviced by smaller companies searching for operating efficiencies. Under shared ownership, the two brands will operate independently as sister companies sharing all the benefits of a larger organization.

According to Jim Middlebrook, CEO and founder of Vortech Engineering, "The partnership between the two organizations simply made good business sense. Vortech and Paxton have been the leaders in centrifugal supercharging for the last decade. The companies are competing in the same markets and operate facilities approximately one mile apart. Each company brought a substantial contribution to the joint venture."

The unique strengths of each company gives the combined joint venture unsurpassed abilities in the supercharger industry. The companies will share engineering information and tuning capabilities, but maintain two completely separate product lines. The increased purchasing power of the partnership has already reduced manufacturing costs. Consumers have already received the benefits of these lower costs with a dramatic reduction in the cost of Paxton''s NOVI-1000 line of supercharger systems. In the next few years supercharger enthusiasts will benefit from a wider variety of affordable supercharger systems from both product lines.
