[12/18/2001] Ford Division, Focus Brand Team to Sponsor Ford Focus Frenzy at Fun Ford Weekend 2002, Focus Central class presenter

Ford Division, Focus Brand Team, and American Autosports Productions announced today the Sponsorship of the new Focus Frenzy class to be run at all FUN FORD WEEKEND events in 2002. The sponsorship program includes $2,500.00 plus in prize money per event, True Street competition and Car Show awards. A year end points fund, the Focus Frenzy Top Five Club, is also included with 2002 season Champion claiming a new Focus of their choice as the grand prize. Focus Frenzy segments will be included in the FUN FORD WEEKEND Speedvision television package, sponsored by Ford Division, and hosted by Dennis Gage of My Classic Car.

The class will presented by Dennis Hilliard''s Focus Central of Tehachapi, California.

"FUN FORD WEEKEND is very excited about introducing this new level of Ford performance to our many fans and the opportunity for new participants to compete in FUN FORD WEEKEND events. This will provide a new arena of competition for new Ford enthusiasts to the sport of drag racing," said Bill Alexander, American Autosports Productions Event Director.

The class will run using the standard bracket format; Host Track''s Sanctioning Body safety rules will be in effect.
